Features Overview
Seven years ago, I was speaking in the school library of a small elementary school in California - the entire event was a favor for a friend - and met a reader named Kirsten Jones. She had this idea, she said, a Gift of Failure but for the parents of athletes. YES, I said. Write the book. We need this book. Please let me know how I can be of help to you so this book can be in the world.
EPISODE DESCRIPTION
In this podcast we have the pleasure of being joined by former D1 athlete Kirsten Jones. Kirsten played volleyball and transferred colleges before the portal was a thing. She also had both of her sons attend prep schools. She shares the process for finding the right school for each son, and then the steps taken to choose the right college. Her oldest son is currently in the transfer portal and she talks about the challenges with that.
